The transformation with my bike is amazing. Having bought the bike a couple of months ago I was very pleased with the straight line speed and power but disappointed with the in –corner stability and was also being bounced around in the bumps. After John had worked his magic while we chatted away for half an hour I rode the bike home about 50 miles in the freezing cold….. but even though I was freezing I didn’t want to get off the bike ! The bike just feels totally different….completely planted and much more comfortable too. The front end is now giving me more information about what is going on and much more feel than any other bike I have ever ridden. It is also holding a line superbly through the bends and as a result my confidence in the bends has increased significantly. In addition the improvements John made to the rear end have made the bike far more comfortable and much better under acceleration out of bends and far less disturbed by bumps within the bends. Amazing . If I had had spent hundreds of pounds on after-market mods I don’t believe the bike would have been as transformed as it is. The best money I have spent on my bike ever ! I have to say, the difference is nothing short of incredible. So many characteristics of the bike that I’ve just learned to live with over the last few years have now gone and it’s behaving like I always knew that it should (but, of course, blamed myself for).
It is amazingly stable under rapid deceleration, whether engine braking or slamming on the brakes, the bike just doesn’t ‘wallow’ any more. I never even noticed it doing it before but now the front is nowhere near as ‘squirrely’ under heavy braking, makes me feel like I can control an emergency stop one hell of a lot better! That leads me nicely onto the point around braking into corners. I’ve always been taught not to do that but am aware that racers often ‘trail’ their brakes into the beginning of a corner and definitely well in to the lean angle that they set. I’ve always got my braking out of the way and don’t start any acceleration until I’m fully leaned over into a corner/roundabout. Now I can trail the front brakes whilst leaning over and carry (what feels like) a ridiculous amount of speed into a corner, it’s so confidence inspiring and I’m nothing short of astounded!
The overall smoothness and quality of cornering has improved dramatically. I no longer feel like I’m fighting the bike to counter steer it into a corner. It’s all just very, very smooth and responsive. The feedback that I’m getting through the front end is telling me all sorts of things that I’ve never really felt before; available grip, adjustment of line etc. etc. How on earth did I cope before?!? I've done 400 mile in the past 2 days making sure I used roads that have previously been an issue from the bike bouncing about. All I can say is whatever you have done has transformed the bike immensely. The bike feels firm to the road, seems to pull tighter into bends easier and hold the lines smoothly, even when the road surface is bumpy the feedback and smoothness of the bike increases confidence massively. That handling of the bike is second to none I have to say I've fallen in love with the bike all over again and can't thank you enough for what you have done. Hello John, The ride is greatly improved! Far smoother when riding in a straight line. In the corners the bike feels as if it steers faster into the bend and also holds a line through the bend far better than before. There is now far more feedback as to what is happening beneath me! When comparing the before and after settings it is clearly evident that the bike was too 'stiff' and masking what was happening. I was clearly adjusting things the wrong way!! To simply say that you have transformed my bike, in a very positive way making it feel completely different and an absolute pleasure to ride! Hi John, Just to say that the Bike I rode back home today was not the same bike I rode down. The handling and feel was so much better on the way home. He front forks are not bottoming out now either. This has given me so much more confidence when riding into and out of bends, as the bike seems to be so much more planted. Well where to begin my zx10r suspension was set up by myself to start with I thought it was ok but how wrong I was I’m a pretty fast rider and love the twisties. After having you set up my bike suspension properly all I can say in one word WICKED more speed going in to the corners, and a more comfortable ride all round. Thanks again John. Hi John, I have a complaint............... I am now spending a fortune on fuel as I am getting out on the bike every chance I get, totally transformed the handling. Prior to you working your magic on it, my bike would easily become un-settled over uneven surface, almost a "pogo" sensation, not a great feeling whilst cornering etc. It now feels so stable and steady at speed, and has given me new found confidence in my ability to corner faster, the whole riding experience has improved. Any thoughts I had re changing to a sports bike have been binned, So the money saved by not changing can fund my fuel.........................Enough time spent typing, I am off out on my bike. Steering is sharper and the back end has some feel now compared to the vagueness that was there previously. The bike feels a lot more planted and I'm a better rider now as I'm not watching the surface so much on corners but can concentrate on my lines into and through a bend. Was at squires on Saturday & this dude was there, Alpha suspension set up, so I thought "f**k it" & had him take a look at my 9, he sits me on it, measures this n that & proceeds to tell me how my bike is running wide, getting squirrely on turn in etc... I'd had a respring & revalve on the front & the same on the back & set up for my weight,but the back still did not feel right, front was a lot better but i was still getting bounced out of the seat on bumpy roads.This guy was at sherburn 1 sunday afternoon, I took the bike over & for a small fee he measured the static sag, checked all the settings with me on & off the bike,made a few adjustments. I took it for a blast up the road & there is a part of the road going back to sherburn that is really bumpy, went on it giving it a bit of stick & the rear felt so much better in that it was doing what it is was supposed to & absorb the bumps. bike felt a hell of a lot better & it really was a joy to ride out in france.So if you want your bike set up defo give this guy a try

Hi John, Not been off bike since u sorted suspension out, words cannot describe how much better it feels. In fact it feels like a different bike mate, cant believe what I’ve put up with all this time. I’m so much more confident its un true, I now pass the point where I know I used to start braking, lean in round she goes, never had such a big smile coming out of a corner. On the way home from yours I was riding over every bump I could see, I just could not believe the difference from now on each time I buy a new bike you will be the 1st person I will go see. The bikes so much easier to ride now, before the rear would feel skittish and spun up under hard acceleration with the front end feeling light and twitchy, now when I give it some I feel the rear tuck, grip and go, no bouncing and spinning up, the front feels planted and dips nicely under hard braking.
