HOW CAN ONLINE SET-UP WORK?
Not only will I provide specific instructions regarding how to get the SAG correct for your weight I will also study your comments of how the bike rides and cross refer these with the notes I've kept from all the bikes I've done to get Rebound and Compression settings in the ball park for you, your make, your model.
IS THIS THE SAME AS A HANDS ON SET-UP?
Clearly its not the same, but it will offer an opinion which should improve your ride or I wont suggest any changes to your settings. I am aiming to convert a bike that handles really badly to one that is SIGNIFICANTLY better, and probably very close to a hands on setting because it utilises all the information from all my previous set-ups to act as a guide when I use my experience to interpret your riding symptoms, and give you advice.
WHO IS IT FOR?
WHY SHOULD I PAY WHEN THIS INFO IS GIVEN FREE IN FORUMS?
The opinion of someone on a forum is usually from people with one bike. Different people usually have different opinions which can cause confusion and it's impossible to judge their credibility as they are not taking an income from their advice. Forum advice rarely looks at the whole picture, which is VERY, VERY important as all the settings are inter-related and inter-dependent to achieve balance.
If you ask me to help you then you will have the considered advice for each of the six settings (more than six if there is high and low speed compression damping), specifically for you from a professional with access to data sheets from all the makes and models I have worked on to resolve the riding issues you describe.
WHAT IS THE PROCESS?
RIDE YOUR BIKE WITH CARE INITIALLY, UNTIL YOU ARE COMFORTABLE WITH THE NEW SUSPENSION SETTINGS.
